I co-founded Loomia.com, an online recommendations and personalization service, where I worked as Chief Architect as well as CTO. I was responsible for the design and implementation of Loomia's scaleable and flexible personalization service, which was adopted by The Wall Street Journal, Time, Audible.com, Fox News, and Travelocity.com. At its height, we were serving 1.6 billion recommendations a month. I led the design and implementation of Loomia's SeenThis? Facebook application, which was one of the first social recommendations applications.
I now live in Greensboro, North Carolina where I work as a consultant. I’m particularly interested in software architecture, Python, database-driven applications, and recommender systems.
